Amber Group Limited recently collaborated with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust to revitalize the paediatric ward at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington. This project, brought to life alongside Floyd Slaski and following an initial concept by Ab Rogers to RIBA stages 3 & 4, aimed to enhance the experience of young patients and their families. The redesigned space features a versatile play area subdivided into smaller zones for various activities, tailored spaces to cater to the diverse needs of children, efficient design elements like ample storage and a staff office, and an aesthetically pleasing environment with a warm, inviting palette. Adhering to safety standards, an anti-ligature framework was also incorporated to ensure a secure healing environment. Through this initiative, Amber Group Limited is thrilled to contribute to St Mary’s Hospital’s long-standing tradition of patient-centered care.
