Amber Group is pleased to announce the completion of a comprehensive refurbishment project at St. Mary’s Hospital. This project involved a phased strip-out and refurbishment of the ground floor Restaurant seating and Food Retail areas, alongside the installation of external Heating, Cooling and Ventilation plant equipment on the QEQM building’s side. A standout feature of this refurbishment is the creation of a new private staff rest lounge and dining facility, located within the existing ground-level food retail space. The design was inspired by concepts from Architectural & Interior Design students and formalized by the renowned Taylor Howes, known for their flagship projects at Hammersmith and Charing Cross. FAP Architects led the design efforts at St. Mary’s. The project included bespoke fitted furniture by Andy Thornton, new flooring, complete redecoration, upgraded mechanical services and a completely modernised commercial kitchen facility, all aimed at providing NHS staff with a relaxing and rejuvenating environment.
